In April 2007, a late freeze in Tennessee damaged Ann Sisk’s family nursery so badly it was forced to close after 42 years in business. It was a difficult time for Ann, who had worked at the nursery for nearly 35 years, but then a new door opened. She was hired by Lawson Winchester in October 2007, an opportunity that has reinvigorated her career.
After graduating high school and attending Motlow State Community College, Ann started her first job with Franklin County Hospital, now Southern Tennessee Medical Center, as payroll clerk. She stayed with the hospital for seven years before deciding to join the family business. Her job included bookkeeping, shipping, trade shows, anything that needed to be done – experience that served her well when she joined LWWM.
Ann, a native of Winchester, Tennessee, has been married to Gerald since 1972. They have two grown children, Jennie and Clinton. When not at the office, Ann keeps the books for Gerald’s small nursery, serves as an elections volunteer, supports the local FCE club and works the Belvidere Fire Department fish fry. Her favorite hobby is sewing, especially making quilts out of neckties.
